Jordynn Denness is a Grade 12 Student at Earl Marriott High School. She is the award recipient in the category ‘Overcoming Adversity’ – the award sponsored by our club.
Jordynn was a star athlete. A basketball player, soccer and many other activities. She always loved to lead and educate – a young woman who truly wants to make a difference.
Just before high school started, Jordynn was in a serious accident resulting in life altering injuries. She broke her back, tore the muscles in her back and neck and sustained a serious brain injury.
She is here to tell us how this has changed her life –coaching more than playing, organizing school events, volunteering in the community, co-authoring a special Workbook, and how it won’t stop her from realizing her dreams.
In her application, she mentioned “It takes me a long time to get there, but I’ll get there”
