ROTARY CLUB OF WHITE ROCK COMMUNITY SCHOLARSHIP
 
 
The Rotary Club of White Rock has established four scholarships in 2016 for residents of White Rock and South Surrey. To be eligible, candidates must live south of 56 Avenue or be in full time attendance at one of the following: Earl Marriott, Elgin Park, Semiahmoo, South Surrey/White Rock Learning Centre, White Rock Christian Academy, Panorama Ridge, or Southridge School. Candidates must be continuing their studies at a post-secondary educational institution (academic or vocational). CRITERIA
  1. There will be four individual scholarships of $1500.00 each payable on proof of full time registration at a post-secondary institution.
  2. The post-secondary program can be either academic or trades training.
  3. There is no age limit for applicants; mature students are encouraged to apply.
  4. Applicants will be screened according to:
  1. demonstrated involvement in community and school programs
  2. involvement in volunteer and service activities in the community
  3. financial need
  4. personal references
  5. scholastic achievement.
 
To be considered, submissions must:
  1. Include a completed Community Scholarship Application (attached).
  2. Include a copy of the applicant’s academic transcripts.
  3. Include one academic/school reference letter and one personal reference letter.
  4. Be received no later than April 30, 2016 by one of the Rotary Club of White Rock Scholarship Committee Co-Chairs, attention:
